Plump, juicy and sweet, there’s a lot to love about nectarines so ripe they drip sticky juice when you take a bite.

HOW TO

Gorgeous on their own, they’re also delicious roasted and served with lamb, baked in a cake or thinly sliced for a salad. If you’re out to really impress though, a pavlova topped with billowing, lightly whipped cream, sesame brittle and vanilla-poached nectarines is the way to go.

TOP TIP

Nectarines don’t ripen after they are picked, so look out for fruit that feels firm and has a slight give to it.
