If there was a fruit that screamed summer, it would be the beautifully bright, sweet strawberry.
Enjoy them with abandon: on their own or in smoothies, bake with rhubarb to make crisp bars or use to top ricotta toasts. Take the classic strawberry and cream combo to new heights with coconut, strawberry and rosewater ice cream or opt to keep your cool with homemade frozen yogurt.
Don’t throw away your strawberry tops. Instead, get thrifty and add them to iced water with sprigs of basil or mint. Muddle well before serving.
