With its peppery, bittersweet flavour, rocket is a salad star.
Try it with juicy figs and grilled halloumi, earthy lentils and roasted onions and seared steak, blue cheese and walnuts. And this leaf’s versatility doesn’t end there: blitz with pear, fennel and lemon for an invigorating juice, strew over ricotta-topped toasts or serve with a cheesy, herb-flecked omelette.
Rocket goes by a few different names. If you see rucola, arugula or rockette on a menu or ingredient list rest assured, it’s all the same thing.
