NEED TO KNOW
Cooling down in the summer sun is never an easy task. A wedge of crisp, refreshing watermelon is therefore hard to beat – until you try the Fashion variety, which tastes just as good without those pesky black seeds.
For a light meal, thinly slice the watermelon and scatter with rocket and blue cheese or mix with cucumber and mint to serve with balsamic chicken. And for dessert? Think pink and pile it high on a pretty pavlova.
Make low calorie ice-lollies by cutting watermelon into slices and removing any seeds. Insert a lolly stick into the curved edge (where the rind once was) and freeze.
