Celebrate the great outdoors

in the November issue of FOOD

Gourmet spiced burgers finished with homemade harissa mayo; chicken sticky with a clementine and pomegranate glaze; a griddled salad bursting with colour and flavour; prawns marinated with soy, ginger and honey. All these dishes (and many others in this month's issue) were quite simply made for the barbecue and are crying out to be devoured al fresco.

With eating outdoors in mind, a family bike ride and picnic has real appeal – think lettuce rolls, pasties and cluster bites, all perfect for a portable feast. Or perhaps an elegant lunch party in the garden is more your thing? A Scandi-inspired menu (salmon gravadlax, dill and mustard potato salad, clementine cream pots and more) is simple, beautiful and, most importantly, gorgeous to eat.
